HSCC Historic Touring Car Championship, Third Round, Cadwell Park.
17th & 18th June 2017.
With a great result in qualifying Jack set the fastest lap enabling us to start on pole for our first race of the weekend. As the lights went out Jack managed to get a great start off the line and created a nice gap between him and the rest of the field. As the race continued Jack & the Falcon were strong up front, however when an approaching Warren Briggs was catching the race was unfolding to be a real close door on door action by Briggs who seemed rather eager & not shy in making contact with his Mustang on to the Falcon. Making their way up to a fast part of the track Jack was hit from behind by Warren which set the Falcon off in a nasty barrel roll landing on its roof & back onto the track. Thankfully Jack was able to make a quick exit out of the car with no injury.
With the extent of damage to the Falcon we unfortunaetly had to withdraw from race two on the Sunday.
So not the weekend at Cadwell we had all hoped for, but we are now working hard in getting the Falcon back up and ready for our next race at Brands Hatch for another HSCC Round on the 1st of July 2017.
Warren Briggs was excluded from this round at Cadwell Park and given 6 points on his race licence for driving in a manner the HSCC felt was inappropriate & dangerous.
